The average person generates about 4.5 pounds of waste per day. The good news is that we can reuse it to generate clean, renewable power. But this isn't news to us.
Since the 1970s, our trailblazing Waste-to-Energy facilities have transformed over 145 million tons of municipal solid waste into 75 billion kilowatt-hours of energy. That's enough to power 650,000 homes every day. In addition, this form of energy production has been recognized by the EPA as creating "less environmental impact than almost any other source of energy."
